University of Adelaide: Global Citizens International Scholarship
The University of Adelaide, established in 1874, is a prestigious institution known for its commitment to innovation and global impact. To support international students, the university offers the Global Citizens International Scholarship, which recognizes academic excellence by providing tuition fee reductions for eligible students.
Scholarship Overview
- Award Value: 15% or 30% reduction in international tuition fees.
- Applicable Courses: All undergraduate degree programs.
- Eligibility: Open to international students (excluding Australian and New Zealand citizens).
- Application Deadline: November 15, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
General Requirements
- Must commence an undergraduate coursework program at the University of Adelaide in 2025.
- Open to students completing an Academic Package or Pre-Enrollment English Program (PEP) as a pathway to their degree.
- Must achieve the minimum academic scores required for the scholarship.
Minimum Score Requirements for 15% Scholarship
- ATAR: 85
- GPA: 5.5 on a 7.0 scale
- Foundation Studies Program (FSP): 319
- Australian vocational qualification: Competency-based pass or equivalent.
Minimum Score Requirements for 30% Scholarship
- ATAR: 95
- GPA: 6.5 on a 7.0 scale
- FSP: 395
- University of Adelaide College (UoAC) Pathways (e.g., FSP, DTP, PMP): Minimum scores of 85% or 6.0 GPA.
Terms and Conditions
- Academic Performance: Scholarship recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress, with evaluations conducted each teaching term.
- Non-Transferable: Scholarships cannot be transferred to another program, course, or individual.
- Fee Waiver Application: Reductions are applied to tuition fees each teaching period, visible after the census date.
- Deferment: A one-year deferment is allowed under exceptional circumstances, subject to visa requirements and university approval.
- Non-Cashable: Scholarships cannot be exchanged for cash.
Scholarship Termination
The scholarship may be terminated if the recipient:
- Fails to meet academic standards for three consecutive semesters.
- Withdraws or is expelled from their program.
- Violates university rules or damages the university’s reputation.
- Provides false information during the application process.
How to Apply
- No separate application is required for the scholarship. Eligibility is automatically assessed when applying for admission.
- Scholarship details will be included in the Offer of Admission letter.
- Applicants are encouraged to complete their admissions process early to allow sufficient time for visa applications and preparation.
